Movie: Madagascar

Little man is taking a much-needed nap and took the opportunity to raid his videos and watch this one. Paired with my favorite street food: Fish balls! :D

What I loved about the movie? the bubbly characters of Marty, Alex, Gloria and Melman; they are so funny.  I love the danceable and sing-able songs especially `Move it, move it'. `The Happy birthday to you, you live in a zoo. You look like a monkey...and smell one like too!'  song of  Alex, Gloria and Melman.

This movie is a classic and should be enjoyed by both young ones and young at heart. 5 out of 5 stars. Don't know if I have time to watch Madagascar 2  HAR! HAR! HAR!

Weekend Market Finds

These are some of our "great finds" at the weekend market of Alabang Town Center.

Jumbo Pastillas

These pastillas, candies made from carabao/buffalo's milk and sugar are literally as big as your thumb, five inches long TOPS! It melts in your mouth and is oh, so good!!!For P120 a box, it's worth every bite. I didn't count the number of wrappers but i think it's between 20 to 24 pieces.

milky polvoron

Polvoron or toasted milk with sugar satisfied my sweet tooth. Each cup is intricately covered with dainty detailed designs of a whale, a starfish, a frog and an octopus. Skid was eager and happy to touch each one since he is already familiar with these underwater creatures. The fondant was thin and crispy. None of that gummy, rubbery texture I associate with fondant cupcakes.

Will definitely go back another weekend and find more goodies =)

The weekend market of Alabang Town Center is within the Entertaiment Area and operates during mall hours of Saturday-Sunday. 10am to 8pm.
