special moments of Valentine's Day 2014

Our SPECIAL MOMENTS

The little man painted uncooked penne pasta with watercolor - and tied them with colored yarn. Helped in cutting out a heart template and he glued googly eyes and a googly nose.

i wrote a cheesy line to the hubby on a blank  sheet of colored paper. It looks amateurish complete with (messy) googly eyes lined up to form the word "love". I think he loves the gift because it's not store-bought and the lines are made from things that i LOVE, but that's just me talking. i can never be completely sure with him since he doesn't talk about it LOL!

The hubby and I had a leisurely breakfast date overlooking a mountainside covered with houses and a pool in the foreground.

Rowena's Pasalubong Tagaytay

Lunch was Pizza and Crab salad at Pizza Hut

Valentine's Day goodies for the family. Nothing fancy but well thought of.

The little man had his own Valentine project for Mom and Dad: an outline of his two hands filled in with crayons. I was sure the paper was his own choosing because it was in his favorite blue color (and i was right!)

at 3 years 11 months

I know Valentine's Day is a "BIG event" but remember that we don't have to wait for Valentine's Day to show our partner, our family, our friends (even our pet) how much they mean to us. This is just a day of affirmation *wink, wink*

True Meaning of Valentine's Day

Sometimes we put ourselves into celebrating Valentine's Day that we sometimes forget our significant "others". I came across this quote from Pinterest that i want to share today....

Movie: Madagascar

Little man is taking a much-needed nap and took the opportunity to raid his videos and watch this one. Paired with my favorite street food: Fish balls! :D

What I loved about the movie? the bubbly characters of Marty, Alex, Gloria and Melman; they are so funny.  I love the danceable and sing-able songs especially `Move it, move it'. `The Happy birthday to you, you live in a zoo. You look like a monkey...and smell one like too!'  song of  Alex, Gloria and Melman.

This movie is a classic and should be enjoyed by both young ones and young at heart. 5 out of 5 stars. Don't know if I have time to watch Madagascar 2  HAR! HAR! HAR!

Rainy Day part 2

Today is good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one. - Dr. Seuss

Rainy day activity

The little man holed indoors for the past three days and at times it's driving me NUTS! He has so much pent up energy and it's hard for him not to run and romp around.

We used the past few days as  bonding time. We did activities together. He would draw stick images of me (always with a happy face). He would ask me to teach him how to write numbers and letters (difficulty with numbers 3, 4 and 5 and the letter K of his name). I would awake with him kissing my arms and cheeks when he gets sleepy. We would fall asleep hugging with his feet on top of me.

This afternoon, we would do some paper crafts (construction paper, scissors, fuzzy wires, etc.) to keep the little man occupied.

Came across this on FB, posted by https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=419259891521982&set=a.418406274940677.1073741828.418396208275017&type=1&theater

I hope and I pray that I would have the time to bond with him until he goes up. Striving to be the best and coolest MOM.
